About Me

The meaning of pornography has been a longtime interest. Growing up around entrepreneurial women who work in the adult industry, the charge that pornography is inherently exploitative of women always struck me as misguided. This fascination with the economics of pornography and its implications for women grew into my undergraduate honors thesis for the College of Social Studies at Wesleyan University, which I am now working on turning into a book.

Having completed my thesis and graduated from college, my new objective is to bring my academic work into the "real" world, and this blog is a central component of this undertaking.
